Wow, haven't been here for a while!! I like jelly Beans. Losing, how ya doing? Read just a little about your surgery, I'm so jealous. Good for you. I'm lucky so far about the tummy, but I gotta tell ya, not to be gross, but I feel like my girls are down to my navel. I'd love to look into helping them perk up. I have to work up the nerve and make a phone call to a PS I guess. Anyone have that done? It's not the size, I'm ok with that, just how they are behaving.

Cindy

Chickie, is that a picture of you in the avatar? I hope so. You should be able to proudly post a picture!

I don't get how people are losing all this weight without exercise. I work my a$$ off and the scale doesn't move. IT"S NOT FAIR! end of rant.

LMAO - That is not me. It's Vicky Pollard from Little Brittan (an actor named Matt Lucas dressed as a woman)

Babe. If you fill your band to bursting point, and puke everything that you eat up, you too can lose weight without exercising. It's easy really. The only draw back is that pesky malnutrition. But who needs to be nourished? It's highly over rated

I hear you on this. Actually I could work harder and run a couple of extra kms a day or another day a week, but damnit I've been gaining and losing the same kilo FOR WEEKS AND WEEKS. Why can't it just leave and be gone!?

OMG, I've been banded for five minutes, and I haven't lost a hundred pounds yet, what am I doing wrong?

Can SOMEONE please tell me why our surgeons don't explain to us the concept of HEALING, and that WEIGHT LOSS is NOT the objective while this is happening?? (And if they do, why the hell don't we believe them?)

Can I play?

I hate when people post just to have something to do so they don't kill their children while trying to take their mind off of the 400 lbs of candy that their freaking mother in law gave to said children and BANDED son and daughter in law for EAster...Nothing says resurrection like a chocolate bunny...on my ass.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
