Who me? Nothing. Not a thing.

So, what is the booze for this weekend? Or, rather, what lush slush will you be brewing up?? I'm starting on my pre-op so please choose something clear :confused:.

I'll be joining you lushes tonight. My daughter and her girlfriends have booked a room at the 5 star casino/hotel in town and we're all going to leave the husbands/boyfriends at home, party our asses off, get seriously trashed, fall into a heap in the hotel at some ungodly hour, then crawl home to our other halves at some stage tomorrow, probably feeling very seedy and sorry for ourselves :confused: I love this plan! :drool:

Kristen, what are the requirements aor the "Iron Bear"?

They have to bench press their weight plus 20lbs, squat their weight plus 50lbs and complete an agility course in a given time. They have to do 10 of each for the bench and squats and he did 9.5 and just couldn't get the full press!

He has worked so hard this last spring to get ready for this. He is not necessarily a natural athlete, but he will outwork the rest of the team 3 to 1. The coaches told him that they were impressed by his improvement from last summer and just from the work he has done in spring and summer lifting.

He is my "Iron Bear"!

I was wondering when we would get on the topic of the drink of choice! We should all have Clear Liquids in honor of your upcoming surgery!

I could handle the squats, but no way would I even get 1 rep on the "weight + 20" bench. Love the new 'do.

Thanks! I don't think I could do the squats! He had me give him a hair cut this afternoon. I asked him on the way into town, why the cut? So I could lose some more weight mom!!! He lost 1lb of hair! Goofy kid!

I bought my daughter some exquisite shoes (she's going to take a photo with her phone and send it to me soon - I'll post it when she does); and bought myself a hot new dress! This is the first dress I've worn (except for my daughter's wedding 7 years ago) in over 20 years!! Excuse the messy hair and unflattering face pic but I love the dress...

Fanny I love that dress. You look great!

Ok I have to share with you all the funniest pic. I have a Meyer lemon tree and these mushrooms grew in the pot:

:blink::lol::redface:

That made me snort Diet Dr. Pepper all over my computer!!! I love the mushrooms, I would say to hell with the tree, and grow the shrooms!!! They are hilarious!!!!

Can't you just see marketing them as divorce plant gifts or something!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!

:thumbup::lol:

..............speechless.

Yeah right!:confused:

My humble mushrooms made you speechless..... I don't understand all the fuss!

:drool:

Love the new 'do.

What he said, Krtork. I love your new avi too! I like the hair!

Hi Krtork! I am sorry that you are having trouble sleeping. Unfortunately, I have to get up this early to be awake by the time I get to work. Yuck!

BBK-How are you? Are you up early, or up late?

Drive by from a lurker: I could handle the squats w/little problem. I can manage the bench for about 6-7 reps. For HS kids to do 10 reps at that, I'M IMPRESSED! No way I could do that back then. But, then again, my school/coach didn't endorse weight lifting.:confused:

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
