Hey, I am from Russia and I am a DS patient! aww, that was the best thing in my life!

It happened on 10 May 2017, I was 147 kg, BMI 51, and now, I am 94 kg and BMI 32 :) Just imagine how I am happy!

Well, Now my progress is very slow, because I eat a lot again :( My fault, yes. However, I don't gain weight at all. My surgery keep my weight the same even with this awful eating disorder (I know I have to do something with this :( )

However, when I keep eating on 1200 kkal, I lose weight extremely fast. and! - when I stop it and eat a lot again, my lost kg don't come back!

I think it is the only surgery which fits the patients who eats a lot, really

---

This is my progress from may (147 KG) till November (105 kg). Soon I am going to visit my surgeon and we make a pic again :)

Hi!!! I am not a revision, I am 5 weeks out and I've lost 38 lbs total. I had 3 comorbidities... Diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I also have Rheumatoid arthritis. All are resolved, no insulin or pills. I am so happy about that. I am in Burlington NC. My surgeon was Dr Jon Michael Bruce at Bariatric Specialists of NC. I do not regret my decision at all. I hope this helps you. Best of luck on your journey!!!

I’m a revision band to sips. Didn’t have any comorbidities. I think I’m a slower loser due to revision and if I’m honest I’m not 100% compliant. No complaints though, love my SIPS.

I did SIPS on 12/11 as my only surgery not a revision in the Chicago area. Very pleased with weight loss. Off insulin pump and only on 2 pills a day for diabetes. Lost 50% of excess weight in 2 mos. very pleased with my results so far!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
