My before and after pics, I don't want anyone to really see how fat I was I'm so ashamed.

I'm going on 7 months out and have lost almost 90 some pounds. I had the sleeve and I feel amazing. Best thing I've ever done for myself.[emoji5]

For heaven's sake, don't be ashamed. You're a lovely lady, and you were lovely even when you were bigger. But I'm glad you're healthier, more comfortable and happier now:) Here's to your health and nice new figure! Nice work!

Yes, Creekrimp is right, no need to be ashamed. We can be too hard on ourselves at times. And it is true, you were lovely before, and you are lovely now. Glad that you feel good, you look fantastic! Congratulations on losing all of that weight! You look happy and I'm happy for you! Keep up the awesome work!

Love yourself no matter your weight, you are a valuable person no matter the size. You are healthier now and taking more care to improve. Way to go for the effort on this journey.

Thank you SO much for sharing - pics like these are so fantastic for me, on the days when the scale won’t move, or my scar hurts, or I am really tired post surgery.

You are my newest inspiration - you are a hero. Thank you.

Thank you very much, I have never been overweight in my whole life so when I actually see myself in these before and after pics I start to cringe, I hate myself in all photos. I didn't realize but I had been staying away from mirrors for a very long time. Ty all for your kind words. I seem to be having a hard time accepting the fact that I am not as ugly as I feel anyone know how to treat this problem, because I know it's not good to feel like this?

Thank you very much. This is definitely not the easy way out as most of us have tried for years as I did to try and lose it with dieting for years before we resort to surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
