I’m scheduled for January 10th and couldn’t be more ready!!! My surgeon only required a 2 day pre-op diet, but I plan on doing it a couple weeks before surgery. With the exception of a New Years splurge. Tomorrow I have a 4 hour appointment to have a class with a nurse, meet with my nut one last time, and the financial advisor will tell me how much of a dent this will put in my pocket book. I’m so ready to get this done!!! 24 days can’t go by fast enough!!!!

I’m struggling!! My surgery is the 9th, I start the pre diet on 12/26 and I’m really struggling with dieting,, I needed to lose 20 lbs before surgery,, I got to 17 and now I’m back to 13,, I can’t focus on my diet and I’m really worried she will cancel my surgery if I don’t get back up to my 20 lb Mark, HELP!!

I actually gained a lot leading up to finally getting a surgery date. My first weigh in I was 209 and last week I weighed in at 229, so I feel your struggle. With that said though, I started my pre-op liquid diet on Saturday and I am already down 5 pounds. Hoping for a big loss before surgery on 1/2/18 because my NUT literally went nuts when she saw the gain. Hang in there. We’ve got this! Our eye is on the prize!

Anyone scheduled for surgery in January 2018? I'm booked in for the 12th. Would be nice to chat to people in the same stage x

I am also booked for the 12th! How exciting! Although I’m getting the mini rny. My surgeon suggested it because I’m considered “underweight”

i'm also scheduled on January 2nd. day two for me on the liquid diet, feeling a bit tired but praying to get through it. What other steps is everyone doing to prepare for this life changing tool?

My final appointment with the surgeon is Jan 15. I guess I'll get my date then. At my very 1st appointment in October she had estimated late Jan, early Feb for surgery.... So that's still right.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
