I'm sorry you're in a stall. First, stop freaking out over this. Freaking out isn't helping you. When you're only 47 days out, the scale going up 2 lbs seems like the end of the world. It isn't. Our bodies naturally fluctuate that much daily.

That said, if you do the same things, you'll get the same results. If you want something different to happen, you've got to do something different. Are you doing any exercise?

Yes , yesterday i really increased my walking did 1.5 miles in 30 min. Where ive only benn a;le to do about 15 min. Slowly

3 yrs post op congrats. I am 1yr post op and doing okay, but I have read a lot and seen people that have gained weight back once past a yr or more. What do you do to keep the weight off. I still do not eat more than I should and try to stay way from the sweets and wine.

Thanks! I gained some weight back. I lost a total of 108lbs & have regained about 40. I'm not proud of that. Luckily I require no prescription medications, as all my other vital signs are well within normal limits. This journey we're all on is hard!

do you worry that you'll gain the rest back too?

Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Not really. I'd have to start really overeating to pack on much more. My weight has been steady for months.

Instead of spending brainpower worry about regaining, I'll spend brainpower working on how to lose more.

I'm sorry to read you're constipated. I'd suggest more fiber, but you're too soon past surgery. Drink as much water as you can. Consider a stool softener. Sooner or later nature WILL take its course! Good luck!

Hi Dale,

At three years our, what has been your biggest challenge? Has your weight loss been slow as you get further out from surgery?

My biggest challenge was alcohol. Once I started, I went too far. I recently quit & don't miss it.

As time has gone on, my weight loss slowed, stopped, & I gained some back. I'm actively working to change that.
