Woohoo, finally got my surgery date....October 17th!!! Who's my surgery twin? Let's share and keep checking in pre-op and post-op. My surgeon (Dr. Merola) submitted my paperwork to the insurance (Emblem Health HIP NY) yesterday. Just waiting on my approval.

I’m having surgery on 10/17 as well! I’ve been super excited in the last few months but since it’s the final countdown I’ve been a bit anxious. [emoji28]

I’ve been super excited as well. But yesterday and today I cried. Any little thing would set me off. :( I want this over with already.

It is hard but you got it, distract yourself, keep busy, sooo close to the big day! You can do this.

I am getting excited, only shakes, all good. My surgery is mid day on the 17th and can’t have anything after midnight?.

1 more day my sleeve twins! How's everyone? I'm emotional AF!

I am struggling a bit. I have not been eating much at all except jello and pudding. Everything else turns my stomach. I had major belly cramps last night and barely made it to the bathroom. I wasn't sure if it was because of my diet or that I was exposed earlier this week to a stomach virus. I came into brief contact with someone I later found out they had a 24 hour type of stomach virus. I do not want to postpone my surgery and have to do this liquid diet over again. I am hoping all will be ok by the morning tomorrow. I have to be there 5:15 am.
I am nervous about the cutting part. I had four kids without medication but I never had surgery before.
Good Luck nod Blessing for your surgery tomorrow [emoji120]

Good Luck to you as well. You might be the first to go. See you on the other side.

I am emotional as well, I don’t know why. Sooo excited and ready to get this show on the road:). I’m not really nervous about the surgery or cutting etc, kind of looking forward to the sleep? hoping it goes smoothly for all. Cheers

Just got the call. I have to be at the hospital at 10:30 am. :51_scream:

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello everyone!! Hopefully everyone one had a successful surgery and recovering okay!!?? I hope soo?. I was in the hospital for a night, all went fine, they found a hernia to repair as well during the sleeve surgery. The first week for me was pretty rough, not gonna lie. Yesterday was first day without pain meds, today is the first day that I feel a bit better but still zero energy- like none. How is everyone doing?

Good Evening All, I was Sleeved on the 16th spent a night in the hospital I honestly have to say that my experience has been totally unreal I have been feeling great like really good since day 3 I was off the heavy pain med and walking about 1.5 miles a day I sometimes wonder if they really did any thing but after filling super full after a half bottle of water Im like yeah they did lol.

MissT_SR I am so very sorry for your loss and your changes. I have friends out your way that have now been misplaced due to the fires and it is a heartbreaking life change. I know right now it doesn't look or feel like there is an end in sight, but there will be. And, you will find a place ........a new area to "call yours".

I missed this message! Thank you for the kind words- my son and I and the cats are fine. This fire has changed us all but it’s amazing the power of love for ones community and one another that’s pulled us all together!!!

Surgery has been rescheduled for Halloween 5:30am [emoji317][emoji317] back doing the pre-op liquids and craving uh....EVERYTHING! (I binged over the week I was evacuated)

I hope you’re doing well FibroQueen [emoji316]
