First cheat since pre-op

Recommended Posts

Ugh I teach 8th grade and had a very long day today and an open house tonight. Was just temped and gave in and ate 15 goldfish crackers. Chewed until they were nothing but the salt and the crunch will get me through the night!

sleeved 8/15, down 42 lbs since started preop diet on 7/29

good luck everyone!

Forgive yourself and move on, try to avoid it in the future. It's not the WORST thing you could've eaten, right? You'll do better from now on :) Always, always carry your healthy snacks! it's the thing that keeps me on track 7 months later!

Wow, I thought for sure you were gonna say that you had a candy bar or something!! I guess crackers are a "cheat" food so close to your surgery date. Sometimes, it's better to have a little something than to make yourself suffer. I think I ate like 5 Cool Ranch Doritos about a month out, and told my oldest son not to tell daddy. I let him have 2 bags of chips or something as a bribe. As soon as hubby got home, my son says, "Hi dad! Mommy ate chips today!" Guess you can't trust a 9-year-old!! He's really good about keeping junk from me when I tell him "DON'T LET ME HAVE ANY!" He slaps my hand away! Haha

Surgery date 9/26/16, weight 224. GW 140, height 5'2" CW 153

If it makes you feel any better crackers were allowed as part of my plan on my soft solids portion of the diet. And at 9 months out I still eat crackers from time to time.

Thanks... I won't beat myself up. The drastic changes I've made since my ore op diet started on 7/29 shock me. I've never worked so hard st something before LOL

Need to keep trying to get the Water in. I definitely miss my carbs and some of my old favorites but I'm feeling better, so that wins!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
