Anyone else scheduled for January 2018? I have my surgery scheduled for January 11. I'm having to wait until next year because I had a stent put in back in December 2016. The anesthesiologist won't sign off until I have had the stent for at least a year and am able to come off of Plavix for the surgery.

January 22 for me can't wait. Have been going through the process for 6 months. My husband and son are both sick all week hoping I don't catch it before the big day ! Have a little bit of the sniffles

As long as you aren't on the prescription pain meds you can drive.

So in awe of all the January sleevers! You guys are rockin' it! Today is my last day of food, then 2 days of full liquids and then surgery! Came down with mild cold symptoms Thursday, which worries but, but so far so good on cold meds. I don't want to come this far to be postponed!

I just had the sleeve surgery yesterday! Still in the hospital waiting on my first meal with my new stomach [emoji4]

Really I was not allowed to eat anything after surgery. Only water the first day. Clear liquids only the next to days. Then full liquids for two weeks.

I am doing great...I think. LOL! My incisions are sore but better than yesterday. Working on getting all the water in. That’s my biggest challenge so far. I have to say the hardest thing has been cooking for my husband while I can’t eat any of it. But that is just a test of my willpower. I saved money for my sleeve for 2 years because I was a healthy obese person. My insurance wouldn’t pay even meeting the 35 BMI but with no co morbidity, they wouldn’t pay. So I am not about the mess anything up. I still have some right shoulder pain even though I’m passing gas and had a very small BM this morning. TMI!!

Good luck. I went in not nervous at all! Attitude is important. My surgery so far was super easy!

Hey I’m a newbie here. Just had my surgery on the 15th. Everything’s going well so far!

Good job everyone! I'm 5 days postop and feel exponentially better today! No pain getting out of bed anymore! ?? It was my mom's birthday this week so I just got back from lunch at Texas Roadhouse. My favorite ? I expected to leave in tears after watching everyone eat ribs and steak but you know, I was just fine! I was able to enjoy time with my family and not feel deprived. I felt victorious!

Had mine done yesterday 1/19/18. My husband has his on 1/29/18. So excited for this journey together.
