    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

At 1 week I had lost 10 pounds exactly. I had VSG and hiatal hernia repair. My mom had VSG, GB and hiatal hernia removed 3 months ago and she has lost 42 pounds. It might just be excess fluids from the IV give it a little time and stick to the diet.
  2. I also quit using ecig. I just slowly decreased the amount of nicotine in my vape juice. It was really hard and I miss smoking but it’s for the best. Instead I just keep sipping on my water. I had my sleeve on 1/16/18 and seeing that axle go down is SO worth it.
  3. My husband wouldn’t even talk to me about surgery and I wasn’t sure he was even going to be there. The night before I finally asked him if he was going and he said yes. I was surprised. Since then it’s been hard because I still cook for him while I’m making broth for myself. I finally just decided this is for me and I don’t care who supports this. I have tried every diet and yo-yo’d and I am just finished with that! Good luck to you

Mine was the same for week one then the second week was 2 shakes, one high protein meal. I “mostly” did it. Good luck I’m 8 days post op and feeling great 14 pounds lighter.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

The preop diet was challenging and I honestly didn’t stick to it. I did manage to lose some weight even having a few slip days. I had my sleeve 1/16/18 and I haven’t had any issues sticking to the post op diet. The challenge is cooking for my husband while heating me some broth! But if I can do it anyone can! Good Luck!

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I am sure that every provider has their own flare for how they like their patients to eat and drink. Mine had me on clear liquids for 2 days and then full liquids for 2 weeks. I am 5 days post surgery and not able to eat soft proteins until week 3.
  7. I wasn’t nervous at all, but my Mom was. She had hers in October and she is doing great. She had her gallbladder removed, hiatal hernia repair and a sleeve. She doesn’t regret it one minute! I had sleeve and hiatal hernia repair 5 days ago. Just prepare yourself for some incredibly dry mouth and sore throat. That was far worse than my incisions. Get up after and move and you will do great!!!

Good luck. I went in not nervous at all! Attitude is important. My surgery so far was super easy!

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I am doing great...I think. LOL! My incisions are sore but better than yesterday. Working on getting all the water in. That’s my biggest challenge so far. I have to say the hardest thing has been cooking for my husband while I can’t eat any of it. But that is just a test of my willpower. I saved money for my sleeve for 2 years because I was a healthy obese person. My insurance wouldn’t pay even meeting the 35 BMI but with no co morbidity, they wouldn’t pay. So I am not about the mess anything up. I still have some right shoulder pain even though I’m passing gas and had a very small BM this morning. TMI!! How are you!
