Why am I always feeling weak? Sometimes it goes away but most of the time it stays. It helps when I eat a little but not by much. I'm also feeling nauseous. I went grocery shopping today and the nausea was as worse as it ever got. On top of the nausea and weakness, I'd feel really hot and nearly pass out til I leaned on the cart.

I don't know what's wrong, did I do too much today or is it normal to go through that after I get the surgery? I wish I didn't forget to mention this at my first follow up appointment. I get nervous while I'm at the hospital....

Did your surgeon prescribe you a anti-reflux medicine like Prevacid? I had to take that for 6 months. Also, are you getting your fluids and Protein in? Especially the fluids - you could be dehydrating. If you can't drink plain Water, try warm or hot Decaf tea, broth, etc.

I almost feel out in Khols when I was 2 weeks post op. Same symptoms you said. I just made sure I drank more Water and got the Protein in after that. Went to Walmart Friday morning and managed to get through the store with out feeling that way. I'm 4 weeks post op now.

Let's remember you are less than 1 month from surgery and for the first 6 weeks your body is healing from surgery. So there is a tremendous amount of energy that is being devoted to your body healing itself. Getting your Protein and Water in is key. Dehydration is serious business and can make you feel weak and nauseous. While you are at your appointment, talk to your team about it.

She gave me Zantac. I try to get my fluids and protein in but the most ounces I can get in are 24 ounces for the entire day. I can't get much protein in because I get full after 2 bites.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
