Hey girls! i am so sorry I havent been logging on as often lately.. I've been so distracted.. but first.. the guy I went on a date with was someone that I've known for a while.. we have history.. a couple months back he would ask me to spend time with him almost everyday for 2 months and I would say no because of my weight.. I guess i got happy that I've changed alot since the surgery and had the courage to spend time. It was a good time.. mostly talking alot! So as far as my diet I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong but I even cut out pureed Beans because that has a tons of carbs and while i was eating it my scale did not move. As soon as I stopped eating it I've dropped some more pounds. I only eat dannon greek yogurt called light and fit (if I'm saying it correctly ) only 80 calories each 6 carbs and 12 of protein.. i eat about 2 of those a day.. each i eat half as a meal .. and I also eat cottage cheese.. and water.. I havent done tea in a while but I should today. At night i juice some vegetables and drink it slowly. That's all I do.. and now i keep my portions under 3 oz. sometimes i read the group chat and I feel bad because I dont know if I'm feeding my body right.. but i've lost weight and I feel fine. Maybe in the afternoon a little low on energy and I take a nap around 3:30 til like 5:30 then I'm fine again. I'll continue reading the chat to catch up.... and by the way thank you girls on the compliment.. it feel like warm hugs lol

Awww....I miss him for you hon. Have you considered freezing tiny meals for another time? So you don't have to eat the same thing for three days?

This reminds me of a girl on youtube I used to watch her videos before the surgery and she said one of the things that change is that u eat cold food all the time because you dont have time to always cook small little portions.. well now we are living it lol.. i love it though.

So good to see your post tonight @mishyk. I think you try to broaden the variety in what you are eating. Maybe try some tuna salad , egg salad, etc... I would be so tired of yogurt lol....

so happy for you gaining the confidence to date your friend. Enjoy yourself girl.

@mishyk I'm with Apple, are you ready to try something more?

As for the date, he's been asking you to spend time with him even post-op tells me that he doesn't think anything about the weight before. 😊 That's a great quality in Him already. I hope it all goes well with you two. Keep us posted, I like juicy dating stories (except for the past midnight ones!!) 😂

Good morning y'all. I'm home from work today. My baby girl is sick with fever and sore throat. I'll be taking her to the doc as well.

Last night I was examining myself, and I didn't think this would happen, but I just couldn't see any difference In my belly like I did the first week or second. Kept having to tell myself that it's only been less than a month, it takes time. I guess I'm eager to be 5-6 months out already. Lol. The biggest difference still so far, is in my face.

I went to the gym again. Did 15 min walk and weights on triceps, biceps, and chest. I didn't stay long cause I wanted to go to my church too, which happened to be right across the parking lot. Lol. Very convenient.

Anyway, hope you all have a blessed day!

I think it might take a couple more weeks before we have lost enough to notice in our stomachs. Are your clothes getting looser? I can definitely tell in my clothes. I am using the tightest row of clasps on my bras now, that hasn't happened in so many years.

I hope your daughter feels better soon.

Yeah, my clothes are looser. Unfortunately they're way looser on the butt too. Lol. I, too, am on the same row on my bras. I wore a sports bra today and that didn't give me the major headache I would usually get either, fitting me better. I'm wearing smaller panties that I've had for ages now as well. I do see the stretch marks on my belly being a bit more noticeable though, growing closer together, but I can still wear the same clothes although they're baggy and sliding down for the most part. I broke down and bought myself another pair of workout pants, a size smaller. Didn't bother trying them on yet, but they should fit. We shall see. 😊

Baby girl is fine. She's got a virus, even though she seems fine now. Have to keep her out of school tomorrow too. Usually my husband would be taking care of the sick kids (being on nights) but he's on days now and so I have to stay home. Which I don't mind, but had a bit of attitude from the boss today (via text and email) after I mentioned that I will need to be off tomorrow too. Hmph. Well, my kids and husband will always come first. I like my job but I could always get another job if needed.

Enjoy your day off tomorrow!!!

Thanks @Apple1. I will enjoy my day. Right now, even if my daughter is well enough to go to school, I don't want to go to work anyway. 😂

Have a great day yourself!

I am so sorry to be missing your post but yesterday my daughter had a day off from school. We use olive oil to cook chicken patties and she made me two tiny chicken meatballs with lettuce wraps. Overall a great time. I hope baby girl is feeling better. Hi @Apple1and @mishyk hope you ladies are doing this Friday morning? Started reading posts today.

I think it's awesome your daughter cooks! My 12 year old doesn't know anything. I tried with her, but she puts no effort. Lol. Sounds like a good meal. I think I'd like to try a blt in a lettuce wrap soon. My baby girl is great. It's as if she was never sick. Lol. At least I've got a day off. 😊

Hello all. I hope you had a good Friday. I stayed home from work and had a sorts of day going back and forth to my daughter's track meet. Fortunately the stadium is by our house and so we just walk around. Did that about four times today, as my younger girls kept saying they want to go home in between the races. So we did. It was too hot too, everyone had their umbrellas and tents out. So, that was my workout for the day. I was too pooped to do anything else. Eating was fine too, just the times were off.

I plan to get my kitchen cabinet hardware on tomorrow and put my tilt out trash bin cabinet together as well. My hubby started some of the backsplash grout. Looks great and clean so far.

I am down a size. Went from 18 workout pants to 16. I'm actually kind of scared to do jeans this early on, so I think I'll opt to just look like I'm always going to the gym. Lol

I know you probably can't wait to have the finishing touches done in your kitchen. Isn't it great to have a handy husband? My dh and I have done many home improvement projects together over the years. He recently tiled our bathrooms and I love it.

It is going to be 90 here by Sunday so the heat is coming East. Sounds like you had a good workout today walking in the heat. It will be interesting to see if my heat tolerance changes this summer. The past two years since my hysterectomy I haven't dealt with hot weather well. I had major hot flashes, but since surgery I have been much cooler. It is almost like my set point was reset cooler.

That is awesome you are down a size. I am too. Do you think you will have loose skin anywhere? I am most worried about my tummy. I think my arms and thighs are gonna be fine because I carried most of my weight in my belly.

Are any of you putting any lotions or anything on your incision scars? I don't know what would be best to buy?

Hi there @Sweet as peaches. I had a pretty normal Friday at work. I am glad the weekend is here. It sounds like you and your daughter enjoyed her day off from school. My grandchildren are out of school all ready for the summer.

How did your dancing go today?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
