I am 8 months post op . My last three weigh ins I lost 6 pounds , four pounds and this month 2 pounds . I am at a total of 85 pounds . I'm feeling a little disappointed. 12 pounds in 3 months is so little for as hard as I am working . My surgeon says The weight loss will taper off since I only have about 25 pounds to go . But I will still lose inches . Is anyone else experiencing this ??

You definitely will still lose inches. Try not to only focus on the numbers on the scale, it is not the only way to measure weight loss. I had been playing the same 2-3 pounds for over a month going up and down but during that time I also went down a clothing size! Try to use your measurements and how your clothing fits to also gauge your weight loss.

I'm in the same boat. It has taken me two months to lose 15 pounds - three months to lose 20. I'm not complaining - I've lost 138 pounds overall, but now it's at a tortoise pace. I'm almost 8 months post op. I've already surpassed my surgeon's goal, but I still have 40 pounds to lose to meet my goal and 60 pounds to lose as a cushion which is what the nutritionist wants me to have.

It slows down but weight-loss continues. At a certain point, I don't even weigh myself except for once every few months. And every few months I am surprised to find I've dropped another 20 pounds even though I thought I wasn't losing weight anymore. I had my surgery in late November, 2015. And I'm still losing.

I was sleeved on 10/10/2016. I have struggled the entire time with many stalls lasting anywhere from 2 - 3 weeks to now, nothing since December. I am feeling that I had the VSG for naught. But then I think that I wasn't losing weight at all prior to surgery. I have a total loss of about 36 lbs.

So I'm feeling that I am in some maintenance phase. I have only had a 1 time gain of a total of 5 lbs. I have tried to reset by going back to liquids only for a day or 2 a week.

I am a diabetic and an older sleever (70) do you think both of these conditions are impacting my ability to lose more?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
