14 days post op 6 wks Pregnant

Hi everyone, went to the ER today due to stomach pain because of non stop cough, turns out I have the flu and pneumonia AND pregnant, from the caluculations I had VSG done while I was pregnant. Now I'm scared anyone been in this situation before? Please share your experience. Since sx I've lost 36 pounds

I don't have any advice other than what people have said. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

I had three pregnancy tests done before my surgery - including one a few hours before the surgery time to be extra sure.

Good wishes to you - I hope you have an uneventful pregnancy! :)

Please keep us updated, our programme requires all woman of childbearing age to be on BC for 6 weeks before surgical date and they do check for the hormones if on pill etc and do blood and urine check before surgery.

If the topic of your thread is correct, then you would have been 3-4 weeks pregnant at time of surgery, which is definitely something that would be seen on a blood pregnancy test, if it is a viable pregnancy. Even a urine would show a positive at that point. Definitely talk to your surgeon and get in with an ob/gyn asap. 400 count is very low for HCG, it doubles everyday after implementation.
