Hmm I've had absolutely no issues getting liquids down and I drink everything ice cold weird I have been getting heartburn too but I think it's bc I've been having Tomato Soup. I had an issue with heartburn before the surgery. I had some scrambled eggs this evening with some cheese and the went down fine I just count to 30 in between every bite I tend to eat fast. I also do a lot of burping

I had Water, and didn't like the taste, so I would add a little Crystal lite to the water, and sometimes a little apple juice. I believe it was the additives that gave me the heart burn, and it sounds like if I get the Protein in I will feel better. All I have is the Isopure, and I can not even get a sip of that stuff down (gross). Is there another Liquid Protein drink that actually taste ok?

Heartburn can be reflux the doc said the burping is bc when eat or talk you swallow air and there's no room for the air anymore over time your body will adjust to the amount of air you take in and the burping will get easier

I was also sleeved on 3/13. I am still having trouble with getting liquids and I can begin to think about getting Proteins in. I still feel a spasm everything I take a sip of any liquid. And I have been having heart burn really bad here lately.

I was sleeved on the 15th. If I get a quarter of a slim fast in I'm good. I make sure to take the Zofran first, the protonics helps with bubbles they said, so I take that at night. I'm getting weak. I want to go back to work Monday, but I don't know.

You can drink it room temperature also, just tastes like warm flavored milk. Definitely better cold, but if your body cant handle it cold, deink it at room temp. Its all about getting in your Protein right now :)

I was sleeved pn 3/16. I had trouble getting my liquids in. I just have no desire to swallow drinks right now. 6 days out of surgery I went to the weight control center to have 2 bags of I.V. injected in me and 1-B12 shot and a B1 shot. It sure helped with the weakness and the I.V. helped with my dehydration. I'm working on getting in Protein and more liquids the rest of the week. I was weighed at the center and actually gained 1 pound since surgery. Am I discouraged? No, my body is in shock and so am I. It will get better..I'm sure of it!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
