Sleeved on 3-6-17 have not had a bowel movement since. Have tried miralax for 2 days and today milk of magnesia. Still no luck. Should I be worried about this or does anyone have any ideas how I can get things moving.

It took about 7 days for me to go you also need to remember that you will very little in your stomach to make much happen if you were nil by mouth day before and liquids prior I was concerned I hadn't been but my surgeon said there won't be alot to go it will happen when it does constipation was an issue for me the first 3 months stay hydrated.

I am 5 weeks out and have had like 4 BMs it sucks, nothing seems to be doing the trick. Calling surgeon this week to see what i can do?

Milk of magnesia

It's normal after surgery. The way the nurse explained it to me after my gallbladder removal is that it takes awhile for the anesthesia to wear off, so it's like your intestines are still "asleep" and haven't caught up with the rest of your body.

I like colace 2 or 3 at night. Softener, I don't like ducolax it cramps you up. That makes me vomit. My BM are every few days. That's when I see results on the scale. Lol

Since Day 3 post op, I go daily. Warm liquids like tea or coffee and Benefiber do well for me.
