Feeling very sore and sleepy, but getting my fluids and steps in. Gas has settled in my right shoulder/neck, so I'll walk that out soon.

So happy to be on the loser's bench! Can't wait to see where this journey takes me! Here we go.. :)

Had my surgery 2/21/2017 and hernia repair. Getting stronger each day slightly sore and have 16 staples. Experiencing lots of gas and bloat hopeful it will go away soon. No nausea or vomiting thankful for that.@chache64 Best Wishes for your surgery.

Congratulations! I'm having mine 27 February. I'm so nervous. How's your recovery going? That first week of recovery has me really terrified. Are you doing good with the Water and Protein.< br>

Feeling great so far! My gas pains come and go every once and awhile, but I have been off anything for pain since the day after surgery! Everything has gone great. My only issue has started today - I woke up feeling extremely lightheaded and dizzy. Will have to dedicate my day to my Fluid intake. Getting fluids in is tough. I don't start protein until tomorrow so hopefully that'll give me an energy boost. Good luck with your surgery!!

Thank you. My doctor had a death in his family so I've been pushed to Thursday 2 March, so another 4 days on the liquid :(. I'm glad you're feeling ok. I hope the faintness goes away and you have a speedy recovery!

I was sleeved 2/22 and am getting lightheaded today too. I'm getting more than my liquid goal and meeting my protein. I think it's the low calorie level...

my surgery was 2/15. I always feel a little lightheaded in the morning, and a sour stomach. I usually get up take my protonix, and sip on some warm tea. The only pain I have is on my left side, between two of my incision sites. Congrats on your surgery, well wishes for a speedy recovery. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
