Looks like I'm one of the few NorCals. Sleeved October 5th 3 months post op and 80 pounds down. My husband is getting sleeved February 1st. We are in Yuba City 35 miles outside of Sacramento. I was sleaved in San Jose and so will my husband.

I'm in so cal. Had my surgery at Cedars in May 2016. I'd be happy to share any knowledge I've gained living post op for 2+ years with all of you Californians so let me know if you have any questions!

I had mine done through medical (anthem blue Cross). I didn't get to choose my original surgeon, he was the closest (56 miles!) that took our ins. I switched surgeons because my original had a ridiculously high lifestyle maintenance fee and was far enough away that we would never use the services.

My home town was San Jose, so when I found a Dr in that area that took medical, had a good rep and worked with a good hospital we switched. It took a year to get the prerequisites and 6 months for approval.
