I was scheduled for sleeve surgery Dec 16th but it was postponed until the 30th because I was sick. Now my surgery is postponed until whenever because I am sick again. Im so depressed I feel hopeless. I dont want to live like this anymore. Maybe God doesn't want me to have this surgery. Oh please let me get it and be OK! I ate everything in the house today. I know that does nothing good. I can barely get off the couch I am so miserable. I hate myself. I hate my life. I don't want to die but I am in Hell. Just venting. So sad its hard to breathe.

Waiting is the hardest part. I remember those negative feelings all too well prior to having my surgery. Stay focused on why you decided to do this in the first place. You want to be healthier & feel good about yourself. I promise it'll give you more confidence & the reward is worth the wait. Hang in there. You got this, really!!

Second time I'm actually saying this tonight ~ "No one said it was going to be easy. They just said it would be worth it!"

I have major depression/bipolar depression and anxiety and just got sleeved less than 24 hours ago.

It's got to get bad before it gets good chicka! This has been like a light at the end of tunnel. Think of it as a push/ a tool/ being plucked from where you are now to be in a better more healthier more alive place than you were before!

Carry onwards, focus, have faith!

I struggled a lot preop with committing to the preop diet but days before it finally clicked for me and I'm doing great now.

This won't be easy but it'll sure as hell be worth it to improve your quality of life!

Keep your head in the game! Don't let small bumps get in your way. I know it's frustrating, but you are right there. It'll get done and you'll be sooo much better for sticking through it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
