Week 3 approaching 4 stall?

Recommended Posts

Anyone notice a stall in the weight loss during week 3 transitioning to 4? Sorry if I sound petty! lol

Yeah that's true...Honestly everyone that I know that's has the bypass didn't lose less than 100lbs...I follow people on IG and of course here, and everyone has great success stories...I just get paranoid I guess...What is everyone eating these days during their week 3 & 4? Anyone having trouble with dairy? I can't handle dairy anymore...I also cant stand the smell or thought of coffee after surgery...and I was a big coffee drinker....Now I drink green tea instead, which is actually better for you anyways so that's a plus :)

almost everyone has their first stall within the first month after surgery. In fact, we call it "the three week stall", because it often (but not always) happens during week 3. If you search for it, you'll find tons of posts about it. Just stick to your program and it will break. i stalled weeks 2 and 3 and it finally broke during week 4. Then I dropped like 6-8 lbs within a couple of days.

Oh man. I am too! It's tough because everyone that knows I had surgery keeps asking me how much I've lost and I have to explain the 3 week stall to them. Lol. This Tuesday will be my 4th week and I've weighted the same the last like 4 days.

That question is what got me starting to post on here originally. Just look up some of the forums and you'll find that there's a lot and I mean a lot of mention about stalls

I can't do milk, but eat some yogurt, cottage cheese. I was blessed to not have a stall yet, 6 weeks post op, 31 lbs lost.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
