  1. Hi Sunny! I'm so excited for you to have your surgery! I live in Portland, OR now but I am from Tucson originally (moved 3 years ago) I had my surgery on 10/26 so I'm still new too but if you ever want to talk let me know it's been a hard road and some days are better than others but your frame of mind had a ton to do with your healing post-op. 2. I don't think he has messed anything up, everyone's bodies are different. It's hard to predict how your body will react to the trauma of surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Oh man. I am too! It's tough because everyone that knows I had surgery keeps asking me how much I've lost and I have to explain the 3 week stall to them. Lol. This Tuesday will be my 4th week and I've weighted the same the last like 4 days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. My program coordinator called to check up on me 3 days post op and said that the premier Protein didn't have enough calories per serving. I've been drinking the Kirkland nutritional shakes instead. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. I'm with Mindy, I was able to do the stairs at home no problem when I was discharged. But just take it slow, one step at a time. Take a break as needed. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. Nothing has changed on the scales or size-wise, and I know of course it won't for a little bit but I'm still so excited. Hahahaha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Hey buddy!! I just had mine on Tuesday and just got home. Glad to hear your journey is also going well! I think we are one of the lucky few with hopefully good surgery and recovery stories! The greatest feeling was coming home and taking a shower. I feel so good now. Just relaxing on my couch watching Netflix now. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Finally back home!!! Surgery went great, I was up and walking that night. Sipping on my Protein shake and just relaxing on my couch now. Hope everyone else is doing great too!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. My MIL is very fit too. She loves outdoors stuff and it an avid biker. She is a really nice person but her whole side of the family is very thin and active too. I always felt like she has been embarrassed to have an overweight DIL. And it doesn't help that my hubby started developing a little bit of a Buddha belly since we got together 3 years ago (he loves my cooking, what can I say??). It was so nerve wrecking to tell her but I was so surprised by her support. It was nice going in being honest with her and having her supportive thoughts heading into surgery on Tuesday. 22. Oh man, I'm the same way with cauliflower and broccoli. It's never ending farts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I feel like I didn't get much instruction on my pre-op diet either. The NUT went over the things that the shake you chose needs to have, strongly recommended Boost, which is awful and I refuse. My surgeon said that I should be taking in 1,500 calories a day so take the calorie count on the shake and divide 1500 with it and 'bam, that's your diet'. Seems so different than what others are doing. So confusing and strange there isn't more of a standardized diet among bariatric surgeons. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
