  1. Thanks so much! Yea, I've tried all sorts of ginger remedies. I haven't done the acupressure though. I'll definitely look into that one!

  4. 5 months after my vsg surgery, I inadvertently became pregnant (Not really getting into the details here). First trimester I had horrible morning sickness and eventually got on Zofran. It helped a lot... for awhile. But now, I am getting into my 2nd trimester and everytime I eat, I vomit. It's not immediately like with the morning sickness-- but 10, 20, 30mins after eating. My ob says that it's my esophageal sphincter relaxing due to hormones (the acid coming up triggers my gag reflexes). He prescribed prilosec 2 times a day, which I was already on once daily bc of vsg. I'm eating smaller portions than before the pregnancy. Nothing has helped, and I'm so tired of vomit. Has anyone been through this? HELP!

  20. The first week post op I very vividly dreamed about food every night. I felt soooooo hungry. I read that your body still has residual grehlin immediately after surgery, hence the hunger. This pretty much went away the second week. I'm on my third week now and am never hungry nor do I think of food. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  21. I just pureed tuna with a bit of mayo, relish and mustard to give it a tuna salad taste. It was gross. Nothing really taste all that great these days tho (2 weeks post op). Good luck, let me know if you yet any good ideas. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  25. You need to be getting g more protein. You need it to heal from surgery. I'm not a fan of sweet shakes so I add a scoop of unflavored Protein powder to 8 oz of 1% milk it's 29grams of protein in a small amount. And the powder doesn't change the taste of the milk at all. How much daily protein did your surgeon recommend for you? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  26. I'm on my second week and am allowed full liquids including creamy Soups. I try to drink Protein shakes but I'm so burned out from my preop diet. I've been eating cream of potato Soup made with high protein milk, but I feel guilty that I'm not just drinking a Protein shake since I'm only getting in about 40 or less of protein a day. Anyone have this problem? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  27. My VSG is tomorrow.... I'm nervous and a bit scared. Can I get some words of encouragement? Thanks in advanced for any nice thoughts and/or words of advice, encouragement! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
