I think everyone is different and nothing particular is expected. I was 6 weeks from surgery yesterday without a fill and I'm down 26 pounds. And I'm getting a fill on Monday.

I think the longer you're on liquids the more weight you're likely to lose. I was only on liquids the first week, and lost like five pounds that week.. then two weeks on mushies where I only lost like 3 pounds in two weeks... my appetite definitely came back at that stage and I was not feeling full! Still a week before my first fill and about 10 pounds total. I'm not complaining, but I hope my surgeon isn't dissapointed.

I lost 39 lbs on my own before the (optional) preop diet.

PreOp diet additional 7.6 lbs

From surgery to the first fill - 14 lbs.

First Fill to Second Fill - 11.2 lbs.

2nd to 3rd - 1.2 lbs

3rd to 4th - 5 lbs

Since my last (4th fill) 8.6 = 40lbs total since WLS and a grand total 86.6 lbs.

You guys have done great.

It is so hard when you go back to foods.

That's why I continue to walk,walk,walk.

My appetite is back too!

This morning I was so tight I couldn't eat anything!!!!!

By about 4pm I was starving my arse off!

I figure as long as I keep moving I'll keep losing.

I can't get a fill until october 4th.

My surgery was august 24th.

Thanks -- you will do great as well -- there are times it get's slow -- but hey - it is better than where I was (339lbs)-- I have to keep reminding myself!

I've lost 8.5 pounds so far in 3 weeks. I hope I am losing enough weight. Its just that surgery made me seem to gain weight so I am not counting that in my weight loss. I need to work on losing more before my first fill because a)im going on vacation and want to look hot  i want my doctors to be proud. Its just so hard because i am so hungry. If I keep active and stick to soups when I go out to eat, its easier to be successful.

I lost 19.6 lbs during my first 6 weeks ... just had my first fill this past weekend and since have lost an additional 5 lbs :biggrin1: ... Yay for fills! :clap2:

Blueeyes that's great!

I am hoping to keep this 21 down by my fill.

I think I'm getting my period.

I'm up one pound.

Cramping as well.

I think my band is tighter too.

I am really getting hungry lately.

I just wondered how much you lost prior to a fill.

I gained 33 pounds before I obtained effective restriction on fill number four.

I received that fourth fill 24 weeks after the operation.

Before I received my fourth fill, I had absolutely no restriction.

I am 6 weeks out and will get my first fill next week @ 7 weeks. I have kept off 18 lbs. I had lost 12 by my 2 week appt and 6 lbs during the next 4 weeks. I have no restriction at all and my appetite is definately back. I can't wait for my fill. I begged my Dr. to fill me at 4 weeks and he refused. I guess he knows what he is talking about. ha!
