  • Popular Post

Surgery scheduled for November 17th. Anyone know of any online support groups for those of us having surgery in November?

I'm scheduled for November 17th at the University of Chicago Hospital. I'm unsure of what all I should pack.

I had surgery Nov 7 and went home the next day. The only things I brought was my phone, my Kindle, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush, lip balm, biotene spray and a change of underwear. I wore the same clothes home that I wore to the hospital.

I already had my surgery on the 8th of November. I am 4 days post op now. I have not a single regret. All my friends and family say i look great and recovering so well they couldn't even tell i had surgery this past week! Feeling blessed!

Good luck to all of you November sleevers.

Im feeling the same way...

The hungriness is starting to go away. I think I'm doing better. My surgery 11/9 in Buffalo Ny. Day 3. Also got my approval from my primary care dr today.

Thank you

My post op appointment is on the 21st of November

My scale shows I am 5 lbs less than my surgery weight.. I am also excited to know how much lighter i will be one month out. Good luck on your liquid diet. Hang in there, it will all pay of as "easier recovery" later. (Hugs)

@@mbarrow01 Hi! I had my surgery on November 8th. How is your recovery going?

Hello Surgery sister. I am doing fantastic.. except for the "mental" hunger i have been experiencing. I know it is mental because i do not feel hungry physically. I am well nourished by following my post-op diet to the dot. I am teaching myself discipline right now :)

How are you feeling?

@@mbarrow01 Hi! I had my surgery on November 8th. How is your recovery going?

I'm doing very well I think. Getting my Water and my Protein in. My biggest problem is that I am a lazy person and I have a hard time making myself go out and walk like I am supposed to. But I'm trying.

How has your recovery been?

My surgery is set for November 29, 2016.

I am new to this site. I had my pre op meeting with my surgeon today. Getting a little nervous. Never had any kind of surgery before.

Ron in Maryland

I'm about six hours post op and Cant believe how "good" I feel considering this was my fourth abdominal surgery. What should've taken 45 minutes took three hours due to excessive scar tissue. The gas bloating feeling in my chest is awful

Leaving hospital tomorrow.
