  1. I'm doing very well I think. Getting my Water and my Protein in. My biggest problem is that I am a lazy person and I have a hard time making myself go out and walk like I am supposed to. But I'm trying. How has your recovery been?
  2. I had surgery Nov 7 and went home the next day. The only things I brought was my phone, my Kindle, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush, lip balm, biotene spray and a change of underwear. I wore the same clothes home that I wore to the hospital.
  3. Today is the day! In less than an hour I'll be on my way to the hospital. Super nervous, and excited!
  4. I have started my diet I'm starving lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App I have started my diet I'm starving lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App Are you having to do all liquid, or do you get to eat a meal?
  5. Had my preop visit with my surgeon today. I've lost 10lbs since my last visit so I don't have to lose any more weight prior to surgery. But I'm sure I will because I still have to do the preop diet. Good luck to all of you having to do all liquid diets, I know that must be tough. I'm less nervous and more excited now that it's getting closer to the 7th.
  6. Hi healthychange32, What kind of preop diet do you have? Mine is 2 protein shakes a day and a high protein low carb dinner. I'm supposed to lose 8-12lbs prior to surgery.
  7. Had preop testing today. Preop office visit with my surgeon next week. Looks like this is really going to happen.
  8. Hi everyone, My surgery is scheduled for November 7. It took a while to get everything done before I could get surgery scheduled, but now that I have a date I'm starting to get nervous. Anybody else?
  9. Hello, I'm 51 and my starting weight is 374lbs. I am scheduled for surgery on 11/7. My biggest worry right now is recovery time. I'm having to take unpaid leave for the surgery, so the sooner I can go back to work, the better. My surgeon recommends 3 weeks off work, but says I may be able to go back in 2 weeks if I can guarantee him that I won't be doing any pulling, pushing or lifting. For those that have had surgery already, how long were you out of work afterwards?
