Had surgery on Monday and returned to work the following Monday, 7 days after surgery. I share this to let you know that although some people will have a tough recovery, others will not be as bad. Yes, I had some pain, but it was totally managed and I stopped all pain meds 24 hours after surgery. Let the doctors and nurses help you if you are in pain or uncomfortable. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Fortunately, my hubs is very supportive but I've made the decision to only tell two other people. Sometimes when people have not walked in your shoes they cannot relate and become judgmental. Ain't got no time for that! You stay focused on your health and you will come out of this stronger.
