How do I join the revisionistas group?

I'm having trouble getting real feedback on what to expect from a VSG to RNY revision. I'm thinking this group my be helpful?

Thanx! Did you stay longer than the 1 night stay. Did ur reflux ( if u had any) go away? Did you loose any weight?

Thank Cindy, I just hear negative things about revisions about not working

Can I butt in here? I had Lapband in 2009, but my endo thinks I need a revision. I lost 65 pounds initially and kept off 60 of those until I had my daughter. I had a complicated pregnancy, and lost weight through most of it. Thanks to preeclampsia, I did manage to gain 16 pounds. All of that was gone before my preemie came home from the hospital. Since then, I have gained back all but 15 pounds of my highest weight.

My insurance required a 6 month diet before my first surgery. Do you think this will be required again, or will the fact that I have a band negate that requirement this time?

Also, anything else you want to throw in there will be welcome.

Hi Aivey!

Congrats on your baby. Well the band looks like it's more hazardous to your health, most insurances will not hesitate to revise you from band to whatever so if you choose which is most likely the VSG or the RNY. I doubt that you will have to wait a six-month diet prior to surgery. It all depends on your insurance too. I suggest to go ahead and speak to your surgeon and get the ball rolling

It depends. Do you have any other complications because of the band, e. g. severe reflux issues?

Seriously! No one has answered to my post but a 1-2 peeps and nothing to help me I'll behaving surgery tomm. From a VSG to RNY. It would be so helpful if we had a forum just peeps who are considering, going through, or have questions about revisions. I hope this gets somewhere
