  1. Hey guys thanx for the support! I once again had to go the the hospital. I have a huge hematoma on the left side of my abdomen. So painful. Warning! Even if you feel good don't over do it!!! To make it worse I caught a cold. I'm not super woman like I assumed I was. I hated calling the Dr on a Sunday morning. Ohh well, healing time an extra 2 weeks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Hey guys! So I've survived!! VSG conversion to RNY. I woke up easily and was feeling great and walking around. I was discharged and my husband and I made the 3 hour drive back home. I woke up this Friday feeling good but annoyed with the drain. Gross. It's been soaking my clothes and just looking nasty. Lol. Around 4pm yesterday I stated feeling sick very suddenly with the chills. Called my Dr. and he said to come back. I did. And I was told that my potassium , Iron, and magnesium levels were very low and I needed to be put thru IV. I just felt terribly. I was finally released a few hours ago. Still feeling a bit weak but I'm glad it wasn't a leak. ???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Kblanc I recommend Inspire Protein. I just bought the blueberry cheesecake, the Mexican chocolate, and the Peanut Butter cookie protein powder shake mix. So you mix one scoop to 4 ounces of Water or almond milk whatever your preference. It only has 20 g of protein but then again it's only 4 ounces and it's very thin and it's easy to drink it taste great! I also ordered the premade coffee drinks they offer I thought the really good hope you give them a try good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Well I first had the lap band which only lasted under two years because it gave me terrible acid and I was told there was a Rosian so my band is taken out, because I had problems with acid I should've gone to the RN why but my surgeon converted me to the VSG. After the VSG I had terrible issues with eating it took almost 6 months just to get out of mushy stage. And I've had problems ever since. Life has been very hard when it comes to eating I could just literally open my mouth after eating and my food comes out. So if you'd like my advice I think you should take your doctors recommendation and do the RNY. Avoid all the problems that I've had and many of us here Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I had my sleeve for over 3 years. It took me almost 5 months to be able to eat mushy foods. Then I had a stricture I had an endoscopy next and I was told last year that I had Barrett's esophagus. Not nice, so I'm looking forward to the RNY. I'll be praying for everyone here for a speedy and easy recovery let's all keep in touch Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
