Hi ladies,

None of my swimsuits fit properly anymore - my main issue is that most of them are low cut in the front and too big in the breast area now which is...unattractive.

Do you guys have any recommendations for swimwear brands for larger breasted women? I like them to be sexy one pieces - but for that to work I need a lot of support. Ideally it would cinch my waist in as well to show off my curves. My thighs and butt look great but I really need help on top.

Summer is almost over here in NYC but I need at least one new suit for the rest of the beach/pool days and on top of that I definitely have at least one fall trip to a tropical locale where I'll need a minimum of 3 suits.

I really love Malia Mills swimwear and that's the standard for me but they are too expensive to buy one until I'm in maintenance or close to goal.

Help!!

@@higher I would look at Lane Bryant. They should have some on sale at this time of year. Sometimes you can get 2 separate pieces so you'd be able to have different sizes on top and bottom (if necessary). I also got some nice bathing suits on clearance at Target this year (not sure if they still have any). I do much better with the tankini style because I'm bigger on top than on bottom. Plus - it's much easier to pee! ;-)

Now that I can buy off the rack, I have gotten some suits at Target. I wear 2 piece tankinis, etc. because my bottom is bigger than my top.

Before this summer, I got a lot of my suits from Woman Within. They have a pretty broad selection.

Before I got too big for them, many years ago when I could wear a one piece. I loved Lands End suits.

I got 2 swimsuits at the beginning of this season for $70.00 at swimsuits for all. They have from size 8 to 34 all styles and they even have great cover ups. I have lost so much weight over the summer I just sewed my suits in.The pants were too big. The bra bands were too loose and the straps had to be taken up as they kept slipping off my shoulders. Next year I will have to buy new ones and will go back to swimsuits for all. Good luck, hope you find something you like.

@@Jane1979 @@ssflbelle @@Inner Surfer Girl @@KristenLe ah thank you ladies! I fit in regular sizes now, so I don't need the specialty size stores. I will check out swimsuits for all - looks like they have sexy stuff!

@@higher I'm a fan of Miraclesuit swimwear, their suits have enough power mesh to hold all the jiggly bits firmly, pull your waist in and keep your breasts up where they belong. They're generally under $200, so less than half of what you'd pay for Malia Mills.

ah thank you! i totally forgot about Miraclesuit, those will totally do the trick. And frankly, they may last me through more than a couple of sizes. I looked at swimsuits for all and most of those suits were too full coverage - i want to show a lot more skin than that!

I have made the mistake of buying the wrong suit twice now! Ugh!

If you actually use your suit to go into the Water all your jiggly bits float to the top once you lose your weight and have a lot of loose skin.

I found this out the hard way about 2 months ago when I went to the pool for some excercise and the girls kept popping out the top of my suit.

Before I knew it, I was literally being hit on by every old guy in the pool.

Dirty dogs had me backed into a corner.

So now I am looking for a suit that will not allow the girls free at all and no tankinis for me because they lift up in the Water.< /p>

I want a one piece that has a little skirt because I have a lot of loose skin and loose butt. I need something that will hide these features at least a little.

LOL, oh the issues we have whether we are fat or now thin and jiggly....LOL

@@jenn1 thanks! the fig leaves one is worth trying I think!

So far I ordered these, but I'm skeptical as most of the straps are sooo thick and the backs come so high. But I guess that's the only choice when you are trying to squish in the loose parts:

I really loved the color and style of these two but they only have size 24. Size 24 ladies check them out!! They're beautiful.

I have always loved Lands End suits, modest but not frumpy, good support. You can get under wire or bra like tops, separate bottoms. I like the skirt bottoms because my thighs are yucky. Look now, the will have clearance sales. You can make returns at Sears, easy.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
