I'm only a month ahead of you. I had my bypass June 20th. I'll be glad to chat and share my experiences if that will help!

Wow, that doesn't sound too bad. I hope it isn't, I'm kind of worried. How did your surgery go? I'm so nervous to be honest

It really is not bad at all worst part is my tummy itches from healing you both will do great! Very simple you just get to sleep then watch everything melt away as long as you eat right I'm already down 20 pounds in 5 days

so its not like a funnel? since there is no pyloric valve i figured it would be like a funnel and the liquid would past thru quickly. But you feel it in your stomach?

  • Author

Well i mean, your only a clear liquid diet right now, so i was wondering if the liquids your drink just funnel thru your new pouch or they stay in the pouch for a bit.

I feel like they stay but that could be because I have to drink two half ounce things every 15 minutes and it feels like a lot but that's what I thought as well I feel stuffed some times. It's nice cause I have not had any cravings for regular food yet. I can drink Water broth Jello actually Protein shakes things like that Protein shake is what makes me feel most full

Well that is tough, 2 oz every 15 minutes seems like a lot, i have trouble now with liquids. but i just gobble down the rest of my water to catch up and i know i wont be able to do that once i have surgery. Have you been nauseous?
