My gastric sleeve journal

  • Popular Post

On June 28th,2016 I am getting sleeved. On June 16th, 2015 I had a massive heart attack. I gave myself a year to lose the weight, I only lost 27 pds. I decided to do the surgery to get healthier and try to live a longer life. Night before surgery I'm sitting wide awake a little nervous but I am very surprised I'm not a basket case. Lol. My highest weight was 311, my surgery weight is 293. My goal weight is 170. I'm so ready to say goodbye to this body, looking foward to seeing the new me.post-291294-14670822807918_thumb.jpg

Day 2, was rough ride home but made it. I'm doing ok. Protein is not going down as easy as it use to but I am drinking my fluids. Already my pcp is worrying about my blood pressure being to low but I assured her I feel better when it's low. Just going to have to keep an eye on it while loosing weight. Hope I have a speedy recovery I'm ready to get on living this life

I have to say this has been the most painful surgery I've been through, wish I could fast foward through the recovery process..lol I do believe each day is getting better, but only getting 30 grams of Protein in a day after 30 I feel like I just ate a whole thanksgiving meal. I'm miserable but then my mind can't wait til I can eat some kind of food. Today I walked a lot more. Only taking 2 pain pills a day off course they make me sick with no food in my belly. Just getting one step closer ...lol

Yeah today I only took 2 pain pills and got down 60 grams of Protein. I can't wait til the swelling goes down. Anyone care to tell me how many days it takes for the swelling to decrease?

What swelling are you referring to?

Great on getting your 60 g of protein down.

How many days are you post-op now?
