  10. I'm not having hunger or acid issues at all, though I've been on protonix(antacid)since the day after surgery. I have no yet had a bm.. but I just took my first colace tonight in hopes of helping that along. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I can't even finish a quarter cup of Jello or just take a normal drink of Water. Can't wait for those puree'd foods just for the taste!
  11. Hello! Brenda, here. I'm doing really well, yesterday evening I was already saying this is the best decision I've ever made for myself. Very little nausea and pain, very little gas.. It will get better every day and I'm sure you're going to be glad you made it through it, it will be so worth it all in the end! I'll be going home later today as well, no place like home! I've had several laproscopic surgeries so I think that may have prepared me for this experience. I hope you feel better soon physically and about your decision. ????☄ ???? bless you

  16. How has your post op been so far? I'm so close to my day and I'm curious since everyone seems to have such different experiences..
  17. I'm scheduled for this Monday and mine is the same, clear liquids the day before and that's it. Good luck and best wishes for your day!
  18. Back in 2004 I had lost over 120 lbs in less than a year and I never had any gb issues for almost 2 years then it hit very suddenly and it was removed early 2006. So I'm guessing everyone's goes bad at different rates of time. My surgery is this Monday, so glad this is one less thing for me to worry about. Best wishes for everyone!

  20. I'm also on the board for the 25th.. finally! Less than a week to go. I wish all you ladies the best experience and a smooth, speedy recovery! Nice to know you're not alone on that day.
  21. I have PCOS and endometriosis, I had a hysterectomy in Dec. 2013 but I do still have both ovaries. I have a large cyst on my right ovary that decided to rupture this past friday, resulting in blood/fluid in my abdomen. I've heard it can take several weeks for all that excess blood/fluid to be re-absorbed back into my body. My question is has this happened to anyone so close to their surgery date and if so did it cause a delay in your surgery? I'm going to call my bariatric doctors tomorrow to inform them and find out if it's going to be an issue or not. I had a six week wait to get my date, my biggest fear is this will cause a delay... keeping my fingers crossed that this will not be an issue and cause any delay!!
  22. I suffer with Hashimotos and have been wondering if the sleeve surgery will have any positive effects on the sleepiness and fatigue. My surgery is scheduled for next Monday July 25th. Thank you for sharing this!!!

  28. My surgery isn't until the 25th but I have had drains several times before and they usually will have you take a deep breath and let it out slowly as they remove the drain tube, depending on who takes it out, some do not. In my experience this is always the way to go, it helps relax you. It's usually not painful just feels really awkward but it only takes a few seconds and it's over. Good luck and best wishes, speedy recovery!
