I was given 5 refills. Not sure if i will need to take it for that long though. I have not been instructed yet. I am going to my last appointment before surgery this thursday i will ask about it then. Hopefully i can get some more insight for ya. i will keep you posted. Add me if you want to keep chatting, we seem to have more or less the same stats

I am still pre-op, scheduled for bypass on July 28th and my doctor already prescribed the Ursodiol for when I return home from my hospital stay. For me i guess they are doing it for preventative measures. I have not had any testing done so i think its just to make sure i do not have any stones. They also prescribed some injections for blood clots and an acid reducer for my stomach. i have no idea how i am going to keep the two pills down if everyone tells me that after bypass they can only have chewable medication at first. We will see.... I hope it all works out for you!

My surgeon isn't requiring me to do a pre-op diet either. I thought it was kind of weird since everyone i see has to do one.... the anxiety and nervousness is killing me though. July 28th can't come soon enough!

Oh no. I am sorry to hear that. but at the end of those 6 months, everything will happen so quickly. I am actually in the Ft Lauderdale area. I went to the seminar in march and I am now scheduled for surgery on July 28th! Next week I begin all my pre op testing. I am excited and nervous at the same time!

I think its crazy how long some people have to wait. I would lose my marbles! haha... I began inquiring in February and it all went so fast. Here i am now, in the waiting game for my July 28th date... Im a blog rookie but i do post on there from time to time and plan to log every step of the way in this journey, if you ladies want to follow me on there that would be awesome! (www.mamimoni.com)

I was given my preop instructions and the date for my educational class as well as a bunch of consents and paperwork to fill out. I was told to begin clean eating and i need to lose about 10 lbs prior to surgery. I want to close my eyes and jump right into July! hahaha!

I was approved just yesterday also!!!! =) I am in South Florida... Where are you located?

Wow quite a few of us with dates in July.... I am scheduled for July 28th. I am very excited. Has anyone gotten their pre op instructions yet?
