Actually disappointed is an understatement! was supposed to have my surgery today, but the a/c in the surgical facility stopped working by the time I was to have my procedure, so I was cancelled. I dont have a date now. The doctors told me it MIGHT be next week Sunday, but this isnt guaranteed because they have to find a time to squeeze me in now. They wont know until tomorrow. This means I have to go to work tomorrow. This means explaining to everyone why I am back in the office. This means rescheduling for the time off again AND I have to stay on the liquid diet until this is sorted out. I was so upset. I just wanted to say F it and not go thru with it at all. I'm 252 pounds and I'm 5'3". I recently told an old friend I was having surgery on the 25th via email since we were chatting about something else. She expressed her shock and pretty much told me I was crazy, that I didnt need surgery, BUT she will pray for me and support me. We are in the same boat then. I also have a hernia that needs to be repaired. The doctors think it is the culprit causing my acid reflux, so hopefully repairing will eliminate that issue completely *fingers crossed*. Hi there...I just found this app and I've already spent a couple of hours reading great personal stories, smiling in amazement at the before/after pics, and nodding my head in agreement with everyone who is struggling (like me) on the two week pre-op diet (ugh!).
