  1. I was also sleeved on 01/04 and have no trouble with 11oz protein shake. After the 3rd day preop I was meeting my water goals. I guess it's a blessing and a curse because I don't have any trouble getting anything down and seldomly fill full. I have to keep reminding my self portion control.
  2. Thanks everybody! I had to spend an extra night in the hospital because I couldn't get my nausea/puking under control. Other than that and some occasional irritating gas pains, everything else is going good. I'm getting in many laps at the hospital and really no pain at all on surgery sites. 4. I had my sleeve surgery yesterday evening. I think I'm going to have to stay another night due to the severe nausea. Besides that I'm able to get up and down and also as much as I want. I anticipate the rest of the healing recovery to go smoothly once this nausea/retching goes away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I am schedule to have my sleeve around 2:30. I'm quite emotional because I am here by myself. My husband is at work and the kids get out of school around that time so it made sense for him to tend to them since I will be spending the night. My dad dropped me off at the hospital but because I choose to only tell my husband about the surgery, he didn't stay. So much going on in my head right now and tears watering my eyes. Praying for all those going through surgery today. I don't question my decision about not telling anyone. The emotions are for the unknown that I will face in a couple of hours and moving forward. 13. 4th here. I'm ready. I did better on the pre op diet than I ever thought I could. Was hit with big NYE party, slapped in the face with reality of how much food plays into my social life. I did fine though. Even sang karaoke for the first time in my life. Good luck everybody! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. Hi Broove. I had a kidney transplant in June 2014. I lost kidney function due to an autoimmune disorder. I was on dialysis for 2.5 years. The last 9 months I switched from hemodialysis to peritoneal dialysis. That is when my weight gain started. My transplant doctor is the one that put me on the road to bariatric surgery. I am having surgery in January. I can't speak to life after sleeve yet but I have been down the dialysis road. Best of luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Good luck and speedy recovery to you @becky1178. I would love to know how everything is going. @@wyominggirl I quit caffeine cold turkey. I usually had 2 cups of coffee in the morning and maybe a glass of sweet tea sometime during the day. If anything was going to trip me up, it was going to be the coffee because I don't drink it black. Also, good luck and speedy recovery to you and I would love to know how everything is going.
