Pre op diet

It seems that everyone has a different diet plan.. I have seen folks at 2 weeks eating puree. I guess there is no set standard on how you start eating again. I am 5 days out on Clear liquids and on thursday start liquids. Does anyone else have a different post op diet,?

My plan is 1-3 days clear liquids. Days 4-8 full liquids. Day 9-14 puréed. Day 15-6 weeks I can introduce scrambled eggs, cheese sticks, lean meat (chewed well), etc

I'm on clear fluids for 2 days post-op, whilst still in hospital. When I go home I start on smooth nourishing fluids, so soups, jello, custards, protein shakes etc. The rule is if it is thin enough to go through a straw, it's ok. That said, I'm not allowed to use a straw as it introduces air to the stomach.
