  3. It will get better. I have an Orbera and it took me until about Day 6 to start feeling better. Did you doc give you any meds for sromach cramping? The kind that dissolves under your tongue? Those helped me a lot with the cramping Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. Oh man. Im confused? How many calories should I be taking in right now. I can "eat" and drink all day long and still only manage about 200. How does everyone else manage this?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Thanks everyone. Wow. It been an eventful few days. The hospital experience was frustrating and only added to my anxiety about this whole situation. My doctor was 1 1/2 hours late. So I had to lie/sit there in a gown hooked up to IVs and monitors for longer than I should have. Finally it was over and I was back home. Taking sips of Water and even a few bites of a popsicle. Then my stomach started hurting. I took a short nap but that didn't t seem to help. So the inevitable happened: I threw up. The night was long. I kept waking up every 2 hours or so to take in some water and just walk around for a while. Today has been better. I had some African Red Tea (yum) then later some chicken broth. So far so good. No more nausea or throwing up. Maybe tomorrow I can mange a Protein shake. Wish me luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Ok. Tomorrow is the day! at 2 pm, I will be me + balloon. This pre-op diet is so hard. I couldn't imagine having to do this for weeks. I can barely manage three days. I had a little meltdown last night. I was like "Im not going to be able to do this." So glad my husband was there to pull me out of my funk. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. So today is day one of my pre-op full liquid diet. Thank god for Protein shakes. Surgery date is Thursday!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I am planning on getting all my pre-op photos and measurements this weekend but I'm not sure what measurements I should take. I know the obvious— bust, waist, hips — but what else should I keep track of?
  13. This is a list I keep with me to keep motivated. 1. Enjoy shopping for clothes again 2. Get back outdoors and hike. I love it. A few years ago I hiked over 100 miles in 11 months! Now I can barely walk around the block. I am not going to live like that anymore! 3. Sit in a bathtub and not block the Water on both sides 4. Not feel self-conscious in public 5. Not watching my legs jiggle when i walk 6. No sweat spots/rashes under my boobs! #fatgirlproblems 7. Getting to ride a zip line (I've been over the "weight limit" for a while) 8. Sitting in a chair without my butt/gut hanging over the sides 9. Being able to play with my nieces and nephews 10. Being able to look myself in the mirror and truly love what I see. I'm not asking to be perfect. I'm not even asking to be really skinny. I just want to be healthy and happy and finally see myself as the beautiful person I know I am inside.
  14. OK, lets do this Highest weight (ever): 290 Starting weight: 275.3 Goal weight: 175 So my procedure is in 9 days. I'm getting an Orbera. Start my 72 hour liquids on Jan. 9. But here's where I'm starting from. I've been battling the weight my entire adult life. Lose 60 lbs here, gain back 40, then lose 30. I'm sick of it! Hopefully this surgery and help from all y'all here on the message board will help be get there. Good luck to everyone
