You will feel much better after getting fluids! So tomorrow marks one month since surgery! While it has been a bit crazy with blood clots the recovery from surgery it self really wasn't bad. I am down 24lbs which is a lot but have not seen a change in the scale for a few weeks now. I know it is totally normal but still hard. I keep thinking...did I do this to my body to only lose 24lbs! I know there is a great debate on getting on the scale daily but for me I avoided the scale for so many years I want to keep myself accountable. Anyway, how is everyone else doing at almost one month out?

This past Tuesday marked a month for me and I'm down 24lbs also since surgery!

All I have to do is take a big walk and the next day I see a drop. I haven't excersise too often in the last couple weeks....to be honest, I don't want to lose too fast.

Are you a month out? Have you talked to your Dr about not being able to eat. You need fluids and Protein.

Call a pharmacist. What are the hives from?
I asked a pharmacist at Target and he looked at me like, I don't know... I just thought... well you're the one with the license. Geez...

I think it's from the new medication the doctor put me on. That's when they started... but i just brushed it off like maybe it was something that bit me. Then the next morning i had more.. so bad that i thought maybe i had lice.. i don't know what to do.. i put cortizone but I'm getting new ones.

Sometimes I'm kind of scared how much I can eat. When I read that some people who're months out can only eat like "oh, two spoons" or something "the size of a thumb" I wonder if I'm some kind of freak. Or they're kind of exaggerating... <_<

Summerset I have good and bad days.. This past week I haven't really been able to manage much, for my lunch I had 4 teaspoons of salmon and was full. But other days I can eat a whole mini fillet. It just depends.. Don't judge yourself on other people's experiences. Everybody's journey is different!

Yes, I know. *sigh*

In the hospital they said the same. Everyone's different. Just makes me kind of anxious.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
