Just an update I went to doctor yesterday because of all the vomiting and feeling so bad, he direct admitted me, started lots of fluids, I was low on some Vitamins so have been receiving them, also Reglan every 4 hours, didn't get sick last night or 2day, getting ready as I type to drink some broth and try some Jello, fingers crossed it stays down.

I'm on soft foods.. My doc said no raw fruit and veggies for a while tho!

It's four weeks of no raw food for me. <_<

Another week of only cooked food. There seems to be a lot of different opinions on this though. Every hospital seems to manage it a bit differently.

I notice a slight pain/discomfort in the epigastric area in the morning (on an empty stomach?). I'm not really sure if it was there from the beginning or if it developed during the last few days. Sounds crazy that I can't tell it but it's the way it is. I'm not sure if it was there from the beginning on. Otherwise I feel fine.

I'm obsessing over gastric bile reflux and type c gastritis since yesterday evening. But maybe it's still normal to have some type of discomfort in the epigastric area, who knows?

My first follow up appointment is on June 27th.

Still having some epigastric discomfort. I also don't have much of an appetite today. But then again I'm a bit anxious because I have to start working again. Hubby wrecked one of our cars yesterday (luckily he is alright!)... might be psychosomatic after all. If the discomfort gets worse I'm going to call the hospital.

Called the hospital today and they said to up the PPI to 80 mg per day and wait 3-4 days. I'm kind of relieved they didn't tell me "come in immediately".

In addition one of our surgeons palpated my stomach and did an ultrasound so we could rule out any really scary stuff for now.

I'm doing great. My head cravings have started, but I'm doing good nonetheless. I am having a little trouble drinking my Protein now, though. I've tried a few different brands and flavors. They all make me so nauseous. Not nauseous like, ohhh I'm tired of protein. I mean nauseous like I'm trying not to throw up because my stomach hurts. Is anyone else having this problem with protein?

@ Try lactose free Protein Shakes or make your own.

Thanks kristen, but I do use lactose free. Otherwiseithink I'd have a whole other problem. Lol

@ I had that once. It might be because of the fruit I mixed into it. I tried the same brand with only a few berries thrown in and was fine.

At the moment I have problems eating, no appetite at all. The only thing I ate with an appetite today were some skinny Protein bites this evening. I craved something salty. They're solid but puffy and practically melt in the mouth. So far they're sitting quite well down there in my stomach.

I don't feel like I need to eat, but I do know if I don't eat, I become irritable and miserable. So I force a little something something in when I feel like that. I'm currently on a stall....again..... either that or my scale is garbage. I need to unpack my weight watchers scale. That one is accurate like in the doctors office.

I weighed myself today after surgery. I plan on getting on the scales no more often than every two weeks or so. I might be going nuts otherwise.

Haha, I should make a reminder not to hop on the scales! I know it's tempting but this whole "stall thing" is driving my crazy anyway. BTW, I wouldn't consider not losing weight for one week or two a stall. I wonder if there is a definition of what a "stall" exactly is.

@ I'm feeling weak when not eating enough. I started working again today and felt like having some sort of brain fog the whole day.

Yes exactly! I feel like I'm not myself. I still haven't felt hunger pangs. That's the best part. I've been eating canned refried Beans, but today I decided to make my own with no salt. Just plain ol' garlic. They taste great with just a little cream cheese.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
