We have to take a 4 hour pre op/post op class, if you no-show or do not reschedule then your surgery is cancelled... my class is 4/26 ,surgery date 5/18, plus we receive our Protein for pre/post op (4 weeks total)+ Vitamins for 6 mos.+shaker + 6 mos membership of health plex fitness center once ok by md to workout= $102....

Oh the sucks. It has been a long time since I had it. I switched to Protein bars once I was on solid foods because I was SO DONE with shakes by then!

Yea, it really does/did suck! LOL. I am not opposed to trying another vanilla isolate whey but don't even know where to start because there are so many. costco just happened to be sampling a vanilla whey isolate yesterday and OMG it was sickeningly sweet. Ick.

I bought Now Sports unflavored whey isolate and just added sugar-free syrups to flavor it.

Have you tried the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury vanilla whey isolate powder? It has excellent reviews.

@@lupita19, Good questions. You basically want to get high Protein, low carb, low sugar shakes. They’ll help shrink your liver so surgery is safer. The exact brand isn’t that important as long as it’s high protein and low carb. Just get one that you like, and feel free to choose a cheap brand!

There aren’t many “food liquids” that you can have on a liquid diet, but you can probably have Gelatin and pudding. You may be able to have juice, but ask your doctor because it’s high in sugar.

Be sure you stay hydrated during this time, too! Don’t just focus on protein – also focus on getting enough fluids.

Good luck with your surgery!

I'm allergic to sucralose and aspartame so I use Betty Lou's low glycemic chocolate. I have also tried the Tera's Whey grass fed whey Protein and it's not delightful.
