Feels like somethings in my throat

Hey everyone, I am 7 weeks out and I'm having trouble with some foods mostly solids. Whenever I eat some foods I tend to get this weird feeling in my throat like food is sitting in it. At times I had to even vomit cause it was so uncomfortable.

Anyone have this problem??

Sounds like you are either full or have food stuck, or both. Which foods cause these problems?

Mostly solid foods like some veggies or even chicken

I'm 4.5 weeks out and that happened to me when I tried chicken. Didn't really know how much stomach was there. Had two or three bites and on bite four felt that stuck feeling. I have quickly learned that that means I am full. It is an unpleasant feeling so I take even smaller bites that equal about three regular bites now and I'm good to go.

if it continues, call your surgeon's office. There's a chance it could also be a stricture (I had two early on - they're an easy fix).

I had trouble with veggies and chicken (if it didn't have sauce) early on. Had to stick with moister, less fibrous foods.

Thanks, I also thought it could be this too.

Someone else just told me to take papaya this week when i have problems with that "stuck" feeling. I don't know how it would help if i ate too much or too fast or the wrong food though. I have this happen quite often. I am just a slow learner, i guess! I eat too fast or too much. I'm 3 months out and in the "trial and error" phase where I'm experimenting with regular food. I still stick pretty closely with yogurt and cottage cheese, string cheese, tilapia, soups, protein shakes. I like cheerios now (makes me feel "normal") with fairlife milk and unflavored protein powder in it for breakfast.
