Just wondering what's everyone's story and starting weight was?

I know you should never ask people how much they weigh,I for one would be angry if I got asked that anywhere else but this site...I feel comfortable enough to talk about it with you guys anyone else feel comfortable enough to share their weight? I'm 5"6 and my heaviest was 21stone but got down to 19 then went to see my doctor to see if I could have a sleeve as I have problems with my back..he said he would send me to see a surgeon! From then I lost a further 14 pounds he then put me through for surgery on the 1st of March then a week ago I had a call to say he has a space for the 16 th and I had to start my pre op diet right away which was 1 pint of milk... Up to 8 yogurts and water for 2 weeks,I'm now a week in and weight is 17st13pounds 1 more week to go :-)

Congrats on the date move! I had my surgery done on the 2nd. I was 122kg (19st 2 I think? I usually use kilos on my scale rather than stones) but haven't had a chance to weigh myself yet as I'm in the airport waiting to go home now.

i started at 224 pounds the beginning of august when i started the whole process and had the sleeve november 17. i am now 185 and have lost a total of 39 pounds. i no comprehende the stones/kilo..... heehee

Wow well done,you've done amazing.

My weight when I started looking into surgery was 260 pounds. I lost 24 pounds pre-op, so I was 236 day of surgery. I am now 160 and have been maintaining for over 5 months. I'm 5'6".

For me, for the first two days yes. But equally I hear from lots of people that they were fine, so everyone is different in how they deal with it. Day 3 was a big improvement as the day went on, and now all I have is a little bit of soreness in my large incision. Don't worry though, they give you painkillers if you do end up feeling it a bit more.

Is it true that the weight loss will be 60 % of what you need to lose with the sleeve? It looks like many people actually hit their personal goal. My personal goal would be 60 pounds.

I am really 5'5 and a fourth but I tell people I'm 5'6". Right now I weigh 256 my max is 260. It is crazy I remember when my max was 250. I seem to keep inching up there in weight. I haven't started my pre op diet but it should be soon since my surgery is scheduled for March 1st. Not looking forward to the pre op diet but I am ready to do what I need to do.

It is definitely possible to lose100% of your excess weight with sleeve. Lot's of people on these forus have managed it.

5'5" and started at 235. Hit goal of 150 in a little over a year, lost 9 more after a few more months, and have been maintaining for about 4 months now.

One of the best decisions I've ever made :)

14lbs =1 stone

2.2lbs = 1 kilogram

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. I will be going in for a sleeve hopefully by the end of March (no date yet). I have a few more appointments. I have been lifting weights and hoping that I'm one of the slower losers I'm terrified of the extra skin.

I started with a weight of 337 pounds I am 5'3 ....I had my surgery on December 9th 2016 with Doctor Louisiana Valenzuela surgery weight was 326 to date I am down to 293 pounds. A total loss of 44 pounds. Very light work outs as I'm only 3 weeks off my heavy lifting restrictions. I start back with my trainer on Friday. I can only imagine how much faster the weight will come off with a steady work out schedule. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I think you will do okay. I was able to get back into running sooner than I thought post-op. Once my calories were up into a decent range.
