Any February Surgery Dates Out There?

  • Popular Post

Just received my surgery date today! 2/22! Putting through insurance next week! Excited but all of a sudden nervous! Anxious about the insurance approval, the surgery itself, and life afterwards but my excitement certainly outweighs the worries. Would be great to find a few people going through it around the same time! ????

Glad it went smoothly for you! What you just described pretty much sums up my experience as well. I did walk a lot in the hospital but I am finding it more difficult today with it being my first day home. Wishing and hoping that the gas pains go away for the both of us! Good luck!

How is everyone doing so far now that it's March?

The past 2 days I've finally been able to keep food down! Slowly getting better. The doc said I needed to eat "real" foods, but they kept making me puke...so I was on liquids for longer than normal. Yesterday I had solid food, and it was amazing..just the actual chewing part is what I missed lol also- down a total of 44

Lbs since surgery which was 2/2

I am on full soups. Any and all ingredients. It's liberating to have some variety in what I can eat. Idk. Solid food is challenging to me. It's uncomfortable so I actually choose liquids sometimes. I am excited that my sweet tooth has not returned. I crave salt. I'm excited overall.

Has everyone joined the secret Facebook group for Feb2016 surgeries?

Today has been an off day. Haven't been able to keep anything down. Only thing I have ate is the protein and less than half an egg which is weird since I can always finish the egg. Anyone has days like this?

Since it's a secret group there is some hoops to go through to get added (sorry, Facebook makes it harder) The good thing is that it's completely secret meaning none of your friends can know see posts or ever know you're in it This makes it a safe place for us because I know for some it's not something they want to share. Here's how to join:

1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/lanaepetersen and send me a friend request

2. I will accept the friend request, then send you an invite to the group.

3. After you are added to the group I'll unfriend

Oh wonderful, I'll send you request now!! thanks (feb10th)

I sent a request also. I love that it's private. I didn't tell many people...and I always love hearing other ppl journey .
