How much time did everyone have to take off of work?

Hi everyone! My surgery is next Friday, 1/22, and I was wondering how many days everyone took off of work after surgery? I'm a middle school teacher so I can really sit for a lot of the day. I was just trying to see what you would suggest. :)

I just found out my doctor requests 4-6 weeks for FMLA. Aw yeah!! They want their patients to take the time to recover well and build new good habits during that time.

I'm going to take advantage of that and not obsess about the mountain of work that is piling up in the meantime. Expecting I'll want to go back at the 4 week mark :)

My dr office suggests 3 weeks, I work in daycare but my co worker who also had the sleeve was back after a week. We only have 3 employees, it's a home daycare, so everyone else just helped her pick up the slack. I'm hoping for a Friday surgery and will go back the second Monday for 10 days out.
