Well, you're right. I enlarged it and read it. That makes no sense to me!

I drink 16 oz bottles of Water...in an hour...??

Decaf coffee, diluted grape juice, Protein shakes, milk....it all adds up for me.

Maybe double check with your dr or NUT...

Hi everyone! It's been 2 years since my surgery and I still have a hard time drinking enough Water. unfortunately I also have ADHD and find it difficult to remember to drink enough water. I have posted a discussion regarding Vitamin Defiencies and would like some help with that if anyone would take the time to read and reply...Thank you

I don't understand the 2oz per hour requirement. I was drinking much, much more than that, even in the hospital. I haven't had trouble drinking; in fact, I've been surprised that I haven't had to take itsy bitsy little sips. I'm not guzzling or gulping, but I take a normal drink. Then I take another one. And maybe another one. And I keep doing that throughout the day, when I can.

I only need to drink two Protein shakes a day (12 oz) so that helps.

hang in there and happy drinking!

Are you sure it's not a 2 oz per hour minimum and not an upper limit?

This is from my booklet. attachicon.gif ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1451354555.845750.jpg

I can see sipping that slowly the first day or two post-surgery because you have to, but not as you are healing and the swelling goes down.

Please double-check with your NUT. Staying hydrated and getting in your Protein is so critical. I'd hate to see you wind up in the ER.

Talked to my nut today, and was told I can have up to 8oz of Water per hour, but limit other liquids to 2-3oz. Doing my happy dance and sipping on a big mug of water! ????????

That is great to hear!

That limit sounded more like a minimum than a maximum to me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
