Frustrated...Searching 4 Doctor in Mexico

Recommended Posts

I was also banded by Dr. Ortiz. I paid $8500. I also bought his book Lapband for Life and it was really good. He has done over 4000 lapbands on his own and did 4000 with the doctor he learned under (what I was told by his patiend coordinator). He has trained a lot of doctors in the US also.

My experience was A++++++

Bakerman:::

Give Dr. Francisco Gonzalez a call', I'm sure whatever your budget for this surgery is, he can accomodate you. Talk to Laura. He has more than 10 years experience, he did my lap band. He is simply the best. Amazing surgeon, great doctor excellent human being, why do I say excellent human being? because he does two or three lap bands a year for FREE. I asked him about this and you know what he answered looking me right in my eye? "If you come to me and your life is at risk if you don't lose weight, do you think I would consider doing a surgery that may save your life if you don't have money to pay me? I feel it is my obligation to give back to the community."

He selects two to three patients a year and does it for FREE!! That just blows my mind!

if that was not enough he has an extremely low complication rate, I know because when I'm in his waiting room waiting for an adjustment there are always 3-5 people waiting and I've not heard any patients complaining of anything serious. In the two plus years I've been going to him. Call him, it may be the best phone call you ever made.

I called Dr. Gonzalez office today and I liked the tone, very knowledgeable people there, perfect English. Definitely got my attention. Answered all my questions, just gave me all the right answers. Plenty of experience and no passport needed. I'm looking further into this and I just may go with doctor Gonzalez. I really liked the price, compared to here in the good ol USA. I'm still looking a little further, just to make sure.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
