Recommended Posts

I'm only 4 months out I can't have bread until I'm one year out so frustrating and the cloud bread never worked for me so what else can i satisfy my bread craving with?

I don't know if I have any good answers for you except one year will fly by pretty quick. I did notice that when you combine foods together, it adds a lot of flavor. So I primarily relied on chili and Soups. I think the kidney Beans in the chili seemed to satisfy my urging to eat bread.< /p>

Y can't u have bread

acording to my drs plan we cannot eat bread until we are 12 to 18 months out due to the fact it expands in our pouch and can strech it out .. I have just been craving it probly due to I cant have it until later.. It is not good for me anyway..

I won't deny myself tasting it. I have yet to taste something I've been craving and actually want more. Tasting was either suffice or so horrible I didn't want any more.

I'm a little over four months out and I'm abstaining from bread too. Some days are tougher than others, but it gets easier, so hang in there!

We can do this! ????

Yeah I've had bread, in extremely small amounts. I believe I have the same philosophy as @TXMissy. I was allowed 1/4-1/2 piece of toast in week 3 post op. I can taste something and the craving is definitely fulfilled. What I love now is that it's just a taste, not a couple of servings

I tried 2 bites of the cracker crust pizza and was fine I had took the topping off first then took a pinch at a time just to test it .. but was scared to eat more .. I enjoyed those to pinches.... got rid of my craving ..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
