I am almost 6 months out. My starting weight was 241 lbs. I am down 56 lbs and now weigh 184 lbs. I to feel stuck. Hopefully it will pass. Another hurdle has been the drastic Hair loss.< /p>

Have you been meeting with your nutritionist? Have you been keeping track of what you've been eating? Are you adding exercise? The sleeve will only do so much, the rest is up to you, you need to work with your surgical team to find the problem and now is the time to tackle it while you have access to this system of support. Good Luck!

What does your NUT suggest?

Are you getting in all of your Protein and fluids in every day?

Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as instructed?

Are you exercising?

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process.

If you are unhappy with your progress so far, I recommend talking with your NUT.

Embrace the Stall!

I had my surgery on Mexico so I do not have a nutritionist and my insurance does no pay for a nutritionist. What all Vitamins should I be taking? I am taking a few but what did your dr say for you to take? I do get my Fluid in and I get my Protein in most of the time. I also work out 4-5 times a week for about an hour

Even though you had surgery in Mexico they should have provided you nutritional support (at the very least a written post-op food plan that includes vitamins). Did they at least provide you with a Protein target?

My Protein goal is 100 grams a day.

My water/fluid target is 64 oz. a day.

I have a whole list of Vitamins.

Off the top of my head (I can't remember all of the amounts):

1 Multivitamin

D3 (5,000 mg)

Calcium (1200 mg)

Iron

C

B-1

B-12 (5,000 mg)

D+K

I take the C and Iron together with a meal or snack that doesn't have Calcium. I take the Multivitamin and D3 the first thing in the morning. The rest I take with another meal or snack.

Yea I am supposed to get 60g of Protein in a day, They didn't give me a list of Vitamins so I researched and have been taking what I found online, and they didn't give me a Fluid intake amount. But I have also read that 64 oz is a good target so I shoot for that too I will add these vitamins in my regiment and see if that helps!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
