One week from now my surgery will be over! Getting nervous but excited. Pre-op diet going well I can't say I've been hungry unless it is time to eat again. I've lost 9 lbs so far so hopefully a few more before next Wednesday. Good luck everyone. We are gonna be fabulous and healthier.

Keep drinking!!! Water, Decaf coffee, tea, crystal light. I'm drinking a lot. I've been lucky and no headaches from pre op diet. Hope yours stop.

I stopped on my way to work and got some propel and extra strength Tylenol. My head is seriously hurting with no let up. Still have stuck to the diet though. Hopefully this will be the last day. I've been searching this website for info on this headache issue and most people say it stops day 5. I really hope so. I wasn't a huge caffeine drinker so I'm not sure what is going on. I am also drinking over 100 Oz of Water a day. Not sure what else to do!

You might check with your surgeons office and see if you could use a headache powder such as Goodys. Don't know if it would make a difference or not but I bet you're willing to try anything right about now (I know I would be).

The Tylenol & propel seems to have taken the edge off but it's lingering in the background which makes me feel "fuzzy".

I didn't really consider myself a bad eater before this. I didn't drink a lot of caffeine so this has definitely caught me off guard. If today isn't the magical day I will be calling the office tomorrow to ask about something to help. I normally have a high pain tolerance so this is really tough.

Well there is always the cure that Uncle Fester used on the Addams Family. Get a large wood clamp, place on head and tighten appropriately.

At this point, I would probably consider this.

My sleeve surgery date is Nov. 16th. It's being performed at Eisenhower hospital in Rancho Mirage, CA by Dr. Bobby Basker-Rao. Tomorrow I start an 8 day pre-op diet followed by two final days of Clear Liquids only. Can't believe it's almost here!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
