Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

I am scheduled to have my sleeve done on October 6th (started the process on March 1st, 2015.) I'd love to have a "surgery buddy" who is having the procedure the same day or very close to the date. Anyone interested?

I think they call the first week the week of regret.

Oh me..I have lost 7#since Sept 17th

I have lost 8# just in the past few days of preop diet.

Just had all my pre-op visits, showing 15 lbs. weight loss already (on the liver-shrinking diet) and am as nervous as hell...

But ready to rock it. Let's go sleevers!!!

Surgerydude when is your date?

It's the 6th. I'm trying to stay really, really busy to keep my mind off of it. I've never been in a hospital - and have rarely visited. So all of my anxiety is about something unknown to me.

Dude I wish you the best. I'm on the 5 th at 10:20. I will try to post on this thread as soon as I can. I am keeping busy too.

I find out my time tomorrow. Stay positive...WE GOT THIS! ????

Mommamin1 let us know your time. Can't wait to see your progress

What thing are you looking forward to after you lose the weight? One of mine is shopping and not having to be limited to just the XXL size and that size has a very limited number in stock. Searching the shelves for the biggest size or looking for just the longest belts is what I want to leave in the past. What about you guys? ;)

I have been pretty physical most of my life but still overweight. I use to run races yet my knees were not cooperating. I am hoping that getting this weight off will help my knees and I will be able to run again.

Oh yes running is what I am looking forward to also. I use to run a lot I'm my past and now I really miss it. It can boost your energy levels and after I like the satisfying feeling. I have been running/walking as of late and it has helped in my pre op weight loss. I plan on hiking the Superior Trail in northern Minnesota next summer and that will take about three weeks. I am trying to keep all these thoughts in my mind as I go through the next month. I would like to run a 5K with all you someday. You never know.

I got my appt: 7:30 am, the first surgery of the day. My whole team was excited for me - they said the probably means I can get out of the hospital after a single night stay. Yay!

Looking forward to? Running on the soccer field with my boys. Long bicycle rides (my wife and I have planned on an 80-mile ride for our 25th anniversary, which will be about 1 yr. after surgery). Clothes at a normal store instead of Casual Male XL. Sitting at a booth without squishing against the table. Knees and ankles not hurting.

Lots of hopes here!!!

That is an awesome plan! Outdoor time in the Midwest summer is awesome - can't wait to do it myself!
